Gold’s having a proper session today. We opened at $4,411.00, and the bid just kept finding buyers. Now at $4,484.40, up $73.40, that’s 1.66%. The high printed $4,512.33, and we’ve backed off a touch. Range is $108.44, which tells you the algos are having a field day. The question now is simple. Do we push through $4,500, or do we fade it?

Gold Price Today Bulls Push Toward $4,500 After Breaking Higher

This isn’t a quiet drift. This is aggressive buying. We tagged $4,512.33 earlier, which is the first resistance level I’ve got on the board. That’s a meaningful print. It’s above the round $4,500 figure, and that’s where the option gamma tends to cluster. I’d argue the move has legs, but the pullback to $4,484.40 tells me there’s still overhead supply. Someone’s selling into strength. That’s normal. The question is whether they’re position squaring or actual distribution.

Look at the open. We gapped up from $4,411.00 and never looked back. Intraday dips were shallow. That’s a sign of real demand, not just short covering. The low of $4,403.89 held like a rock, and that’s now our first support. If we retest that and hold, I’d be a buyer all day.

Gold Price Today’s Intraday Momentum Favors the Long Side

Momentum is clearly with the bulls. We’re up 1.66% with a range that’s above the daily average. The bid’s been relentless. Every dip to $4,440 or so got bought within minutes. That’s not algo noise, that’s real money. I keep an eye on the volume profile, and the volume node around $4,450 is heavy. That’s your battleground. As long as we stay above that, the path to $4,500 is open.

Key Gold Support and Resistance Levels to Watch on Friday

Levels are clean today. Support one is the session low at $4,403.89. Support two sits at $4,378.30, and that’s where I’d expect stops to cluster if we break down. Resistance one is today’s high at $4,512.33. Resistance two is $4,553.75, and that’s a big one. That’s the level that, if taken out, opens the floodgates to $4,600.

The range of $108.44 is wide, no question. But that’s what you get when the macro backdrop shifts. We’re not in a consolidation phase anymore. This is a breakout attempt. The price action is telling me the sellers are losing their grip. Every rally that fails to make new lows is a warning to the shorts.

Support Zones Where Gold Bids Should Hold

First support at $4,403.89 is the obvious line in the sand. It’s the low, it’s a round-ish number, and it’s where the morning dip found buyers. Second support at $4,378.30 is more structural. That’s a prior session pivot, and I’d expect algos to defend it aggressively. If we lose that, the thesis changes. But I don’t see that happening unless we get a headline shock.

Resistance Levels That Could Stall the Gold Rally

Resistance one at $4,512.33 is already being tested. We tagged it and backed off. That’s normal. Resistance two at $4,553.75 is the real barrier. That’s a level where I’d expect to see a lot of offers stacked. If we break that, we’re in price discovery, and the bears are going to be scrambling. I’d rather buy the break than the test.

Gold Fundamentals and Macro Drivers Behind the $73 Move

The macro picture is doing the heavy lifting. Real yields are under pressure, and that’s the single biggest driver for gold. When the market starts pricing in rate cuts, gold gets bid. That’s what we’re seeing. The dollar’s soft too, and that’s adding fuel. It’s not one thing, it’s the whole complex aligning.

There’s also a geopolitical bid underneath. Nothing specific, just the constant hum of uncertainty. Traders are positioning ahead of the weekend, and that’s showing up in the premium we’re paying above the open. I’d say the market is nervous, and nervous money buys gold.

The order flow is telling the same story. We’re seeing consistent buying on dips, not panic chasing. That’s a healthier sign. Panic buying fades, but accumulation holds. This feels like accumulation. If the macro stays supportive, the path of least resistance is higher.

Gold Price Verdict for the Rest of Friday’s Session

I’m constructive. The high at $4,512.33 is the immediate hurdle, but the momentum is with the buyers. If we close above $4,480, that’s a bullish close. If we push through $4,512 on volume, then $4,553 is in play. The risk is a late-day fade, but even that wouldn’t break the structure. Support at $4,403 is strong, and I’d be surprised to see it tested again today.

My bias is to buy dips toward $4,450 to $4,460, with a stop below $4,400. The upside target is $4,553. That’s the trade. Keep it simple, respect the levels, and let the market come to you. Gold’s in a good spot today, and I don’t see that changing before the close.
